Shanghai Eastern Taxi Service may be interchangeably referred to as SETS.

How it Works

When you request for a taxicab service via phone, email address provided on our web site or directly on our web site, we will choose a driver from our pool and provide you the service. We will provide you the driver’s name via an email confirmation. During the pick up, the driver will hold a placard with your name. You proceed to him and ask for his name for the confirmation

Personal Identification

In order to use our service, you will be required to provide us with your personal identification (Name, Telephone Number, and Email Address). SETS may store the information on your personal identification.. Each and every time you use our service, you will be required to provide this information.

Payment to the Taxicab Driver

You, as a passenger must pay the taxicab driver at the end or beginning of the taxicab ride, for the service rendered at the price on our web site as agreed upon between us over the phone. The taxi driver will pay for the highway toll fee while you will be responsible for additional fees such as parking fee, which may incur during your trip.

Refusal of Service

SETS reserves the right to refuse to do business with you for any or no reason.

Disclaimers and Warranties

SETS does not provide any form of actual transportation service. We will only register your service reservation request with the car company we choose that meet your needs. You as a passenger will be required to pay the taxicab driver for the transportation service rendered to you. We assume no liability or responsibility for the failure of the taxicab company of your choice or our choice to provide the requested taxicab service. We assume no liability or responsibility for the inability of the car company of your choice or our choice to meet with your expected quality of service. SETS will only be responsible if we fail to register your reservation request with a taxicab company. In no event shall SETS or its employees be liable (jointly or severally) to you for any loss of property, indirect or consequential damages of any kind, or any damages whatsoever resulting in the process of you being transported by the taxicab company. If any applicable authority holds any portion of this section to be unenforceable, then liability will be limited to the fullest possible extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation on Usage

You must be 18 years of age or older to request a taxicab service via our website. While individuals under the age of 18 may browse through our website, they may request a transportation service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

Electronic Communications

By using our website and service, you consent to receiving electronic communications from us which will include your taxicab service request and information concerning or related to our service.

By accessing the SETS website, you agree not to upload, post, e-mail or otherwise send or transmit any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the function of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment associated with the SETS website. You also agree not to interfere with the servers or networks connected to the SETS website or to violate any of the procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the SETS website, the terms of which are incorporated herein. You also agree not to impersonate any other person while using the SETS website, or use the SETS website for any unlawful purpose.
